Over the past five years, Taste Champagne has exploded into the biggest champagne showcase in the world. In 2017, the event welcomed 2,500 trade, media, agents and public in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.
In 2018, Taste Champagne will be even bigger, with Adelaide joining the line-up.
Taste Champagne is a grand tasting in which guests are invited to stroll at their own pace between houses, growers and cooperatives. In 2017, the event showcased 214 cuvées from 74 houses.
In 2018, Taste Champagne will be hosted by Tyson Stelzer, International Wine & Spirit Communicator of the Year, in conjunction with BlackEvents.

Bernadette O’Shea has been saluted by France’s finest champagne makers. She has been honoured in Australia since 1984, when she became the first non-professional woman to win the coveted Vin de Champagne Award, an award she currently co-judges. Bernadette continues to communicate her love of champagne as a full-time champagne consultant and educator in Brisbane. Here is a list of events she hosts for those who live in Brisbane.
Monthly Champagne Club
Held on two consecutive Monday evenings, Bernadette O’Shea will demonstrate the House style of eight champagne producers.
Executive One Night Champagne Class
Designed specifically for who can not attend the two night course, Bernadette has now introduced a new condensed one night course featuring a 10 champagnes in total, encompassing both non vintage and vintages, reflecting the nuances and effects of various houses as well as differing years.
Boardroom Talks and Corporate Events
Bernadette hosts a range of dinners and soirées on request.
